For best results, prepare the cuticles before using the scissors. Soften them in warm water or with a special cuticle softener. Then gently lift the cuticles with a pusher, place the cuticle between the blades, and carefully trim—using mainly the tips of the scissors. Be sure not to cut too deeply or damage the live skin.
